Account & Billing
Your VolNinja account is what links you to the service: it holds your login, your plan, and your billing. This article walks through the three things you'll do with it — creating an account, choosing a plan, and managing your subscription — all from the VolNinja website, separate from the trading app itself.
Important
Only your account and billing details live in the cloud. Your trades, positions, and connection to Interactive Brokers stay on your own machine and are never sent to us. See How it works for the full privacy picture.
Creating your account
Start on the Create your account page. You'll need three things:
- Email — where verification and billing notices are sent, and the address you'll sign in with.
- Password — at least 8 characters.
Tick the box to agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Risk Disclosure, then choose Create account.
Right after signing up you're taken to a short Get started setup wizard. Its first step asks you to verify your email: we send a link to the address you registered, and clicking it confirms the account. The page updates on its own once you've clicked through, so you can leave it open while you check your inbox.
Tip
Already have an account? Choose Log in at the bottom of the sign-up page instead. If you've forgotten your password, use the Forgot password link on the login page to get a reset link by email.
Choosing a plan
VolNinja is one plan — VolNinja Pro — with everything included. There are no tiers, add-ons, or upsells; the only choice is how often you're billed:
- Monthly — billed each month.
- Annual — billed once a year and is the better value, saving roughly 17% versus paying monthly.
The current price for each is always shown on the pricing page and again on the checkout screen before you confirm.
Every account starts with a 7-day free trial. You pick a billing period and enter a payment method up front, but you're not charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel any time before then at no cost.
Tip
The Annual plan is the better value — roughly two months free versus paying monthly. You can always switch billing period later from the billing portal.
You start the trial from the Start your 7-day free trial step of the setup wizard (or from the Billing section of your account later). Choose Monthly or Annual, then select Start 7-day free trial — this hands you off to a secure checkout page to enter your payment details. When it's done, you're brought straight back and your trial is active.
If you change your mind at the checkout page, backing out is safe: no charge is made, and you can start your trial whenever you're ready.
Important
An active trial or subscription is what unlocks device pairing and reaching your dashboard remotely. Without one, pairing is disabled. See Device pairing and Remote access.
Managing your subscription
Everything about your plan lives in the Billing section of your Account page. Sign in to the VolNinja website — the same place you created your account — and your account dashboard opens automatically, with Billing as its first section. At the top, a status line tells you exactly where you stand:
- Trial · N days remaining — you're in the free trial, with the end date shown.
- Active — you're subscribed; it shows the date your plan renews.
- Payment is late — a charge didn't go through; update your payment method to keep access.
- Subscription cancels on <date> — you've cancelled, but access continues until the paid period ends.
- Ended / No active subscription — the plan has lapsed; subscribe again to restore access.
Choose Manage billing to open the secure billing portal, where you can update your card, change your billing period, download invoices, or cancel. If you've already cancelled and change your mind before the period ends, a Resume subscription button brings your plan back. When there's no active plan, the button becomes Start your trial instead.
If a payment ever fails, a reminder appears above the billing card and your status reads Payment is late — update your card from Manage billing to avoid losing access.
Your profile
Further down the Account page, the Profile section shows the email tied to your account. To close your account entirely, contact support using the address listed there — account deletion is handled by request so nothing is removed by accident.
Tip
The Account page also holds your Security settings (password and two-step verification) and your paired Devices. For managing the machines linked to your account, see The account panel.
